The Basic Witz Furniture Company was a well-known MCM manufacturer of quality furniture.
I believe this is walnut, and is part of a complete bedroom set, which includes the headboard (and metal bed frame), two night tables , a lowboy dresser, and an absolutely awesome highboy dresser. It belonged to my parents, who were ancient art dealers in New York City. They treated their furnishings like works of art, so everything is in excellent condition.
Insides of drawers of every piece are perfectly clean except for some blemishes inside one night stand drawer. Will post pictures
Most drawers were lined, with non-stick paper, so immaculate.
